Elemental characterization and risk assessment of indoor aerosols in an electrostatic particle accelerator laboratory
نویسندگان
چکیده
Aerosol samples (PM10 and PM2.5) were collected during the 2018-2019 dry-cold season, inside an electrostatic particle accelerator laboratory at Instituto de Física, Universidad Nacional Autónoma México, on rooftop. The goal was to measure gravimetric mass elemental concentrations, identify emitting sources, assess risks human health due inhalation, ingestion dermal deposition, through Hazard Quotients. Concentrations of Mg, Al, Si, P, S, Cl, K, Ca, V, Mn, Fe, Ni, Cu, Zn measured with X-ray Fluorescence. Mass concentrations lower indoors than outdoors. Elemental/gravimetric ratios showed that more abundant in both sizes, plus P PM2.5. Possible found Cluster Analysis, geogenic, SF6 subproducts, vacuum pump oil, air conditioning, supported by Scanning Emission Microscopy Electron Probe Microanalysis. Health enriched elements are not significant.

Indoor aerosols: from personal exposure to risk assessment.
Motivated by growing considerations of the scale, severity, and risks associated with human exposure to indoor particulate matter, this work reviewed existing literature to: (i) identify state-of-the-art experimental techniques used for personal exposure assessment; (ii) compare exposure levels reported for domestic/school settings in different countries (excluding exposure to environmental tob...

testing plays a vital role in any language teaching program. it allows teachers and stakeholders, including program administrators, parents, admissions officers and prospective employers to be assured that the learners are progressing according to an accepted standard (douglas, 2010). the problems currently facing language testers have both practical and theoretical implications but the first i...
Generation and Characterization of Indoor Fungal Aerosols for Inhalation Studies
In the indoor environment, people are exposed to several fungal species. Evident dampness is associated with increased respiratory symptoms. To examine the immune responses associated with fungal exposure, mice are often exposed to a single species grown on an agar medium. The aim of this study was to develop an inhalation exposure system to be able to examine responses in mice exposed to mixed...

although there are studies on pragmatic assessment, to date, literature has been almost silent about native and non-native english raters’ criteria for the assessment of efl learners’ pragmatic performance. focusing on this topic, this study pursued four purposes. the first one was to find criteria for rating the speech acts of apology and refusal in l2 by native and non-native english teachers...
